The Pool delves into the realms of girlhood and the carefree spirit of summertime. It likely encapsulates the essence of childhood innocence, curiosity, and playfulness, intertwined with the warmth and vibrancy associated with the summer season. Through the depiction of activities, expressions, and interactions of the girls in the photo, it aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia and freedom. Reconnecting with girlhood when you’ve stepped into adulthood can be especially tough. I feel that all girls are forced to grow up too quickly and are taught to throw away their playfulness and adultolescence, due to societies value of women. Girls are seen too early to be sexual objects and have to guard themselves from as young as primary education. I feel that our youth is short lived and it is a difficult process to rediscover this.
